Lumecca IPL · Candidate Check

Am I a candidate for Lumecca IPL?

Answer a few quick questions to see if you're likely a good fit for an IPL photofacial, and what to confirm with a provider. About two minutes.

Educational self-assessment, not medical advice or a diagnosis. Only a licensed provider can confirm whether Lumecca IPL is right for you.

What this quiz checks

The questions follow the same screen a provider runs before booking. Each one maps to a factor that either supports the treatment, argues for a different one, or is a health flag that has to be cleared first.

  • What you want to improve. IPL is used for sun spots, freckles, redness and broken capillaries; it is not a resurfacing or tightening treatment.
  • Your skin tone, and whether you have had a tan, sunburn, tanning bed or self-tanner in the last four to six weeks. IPL targets pigment, so recent sun and deeper skin tones raise the risk of side effects.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding, and anything active in the treatment area such as an infection or open skin.
  • Whether the process fits: usually a short series of about one to four sessions, and treated spots often darken and flake before they clear.

What your result means

A green result means your concern and skin tone match what IPL is used for and nothing you answered rules it out. A caution result usually means timing has to change, most often waiting out a tan, or a different treatment may suit your skin better. A stop result means a provider must review a health flag first.

Whatever the result says, it is a starting point for the conversation with your provider, not a substitute for it. Bring your answers to the consultation so the time goes to planning rather than screening.

How this assessment works & sources

This quiz turns published Lumecca IPL candidacy guidance into a simple self-check. IPL targets pigment, so skin tone and recent tanning matter a lot. It never diagnoses — a licensed provider makes the final call.
